Before Chamánica Ecolodge became what it is known as today, there was already a small suspended bridge among the trees that led to a little house hidden in the mountain. Over the years, the bridge became unstable and seemed as if it were about to collapse, but it had something impossible to replace: a wild and authentic beauty. The small house looked as if it had been whimsically built among the trees, as though it had always belonged there. That is why we decided to preserve its essence, reinforce the structure, and transform the entire experience into what we now know as Puente Umbral.
A threshold to calm
Puente Umbral is a warm, private cabin deeply connected with nature. Surrounded by giant trees and offering a beautiful view of the mountains, it provides a unique experience where it is common to see squirrels during the day and monkeys moving through the branches at night. The cabin features a specially designed soaking tub for relaxing baths with local medicinal herbs, allowing guests to contemplate the rainforest from inside the bathroom. It also has a private balcony with a barbecue area and convertible spaces, making it perfect for couples, families, or travelers seeking comfort and tranquility in the heart of the rainforest.
